When is It Required?
The root canal treatment is usually done for a damaged or infected tooth. The infection of the teeth could be due to many reasons but if the tooth can be saved from extraction and there is a chance to relieve the pain due to inflammation, then the root canal procedure should be done at the earliest.
Some of the common symptoms which point towards the need of a Root canal treatment are as follows –
- Prolonged and persistent pain which could be mild or severe in some cases. This pains worsens in the night on lying down and you can feel extreme discomfort while biting and chewing
- In other cases though, with extensive tooth cavity and loss, the experience of pain is lesser but one can trace back to a point of severe pain at an earlier incidence.
- Persistent sensitivity is also one of the major symptoms which point towards a severe infection. If hot and cold food consumption bothers you immensely, you should definitely consult our root canal specialist for diagnosis and treatment planning.
